School Performance Results
Primary school performance is ultimately measured by Key Stage 2 SATs, which are statutory exams taken by all children in Year 6, but children's progress is also measured by the government in different ways throughout their primary education. Children are assessed against GLD (Good Level of Development) at the end of their Reception year. Phonics are measured in Years 1 & 2 and Multiplications in Year 4. At Cranham, we also use the non-statutory KS1 SATs tests at the end of Year 2 to track progress internally.
Cranham's academic results, for both attainment and progress, are significantly stronger than national averages, particularly with the number of pupils reaching the higher standard. We are as proud of our pupils' academic achievements as we are of their spiritual, social, emotional and physical development; each year we receive very positive feedback from secondary schools about their readiness for the next stage of their education.
